Step 1. Prepare the Lighter: Make sure the lighter is cool to the touch and situated in an area with good airflow. Flip the lighter upside down to reveal the refill valve.
Step 2. Choose the Correct Fuel: For best results, fill your lighter with high-quality butane fuel. Avoid lower-quality fuels as they can lead to clogs and affect performance.
Step 3. Filling: Position the nozzle of your butane canister into the refill valve. Press down steadily and hold for approximately 5-10 seconds. You might hear a soft hissing noise as the fuel enters the lighter.
Step 4. Check and Ignite: After refilling, let the lighter sit for a few minutes to allow the butane to stabilize. Test the lighter to confirm it functions correctly.
*Troubleshooting: If you're still experiencing problems, you may need to adjust the flame size. Locate the adjustment screw within the refill valve and use a small flathead screwdriver to make adjustments. Turn it up by 1/4 turn increments and test frequently until the appropriate amount of gas is being dispensed. Your lighter is now dialed in and ready for all your lighting needs!
